Rowing and Olympic victory
I am an Olympic rower and took part in the Summer Olympics 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London. I travelled around the world with the Deutschlandachter and with this flagship of the German Rowing Federation I won the World Championships three times in a row. In 2012, I crowned my sporting career with an olympic victory.

Bachelor's at Boston University
I received my bachelor's degree in psychology in 2006 from College of Arts and Sciences of Boston University. In 2016, I was the first German to be admitted to the Boston University Athletic Hall of Fame.
Master's at Ruhr University Bochum
After returning to Germany in 2010, I completed my studies at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum with a Master of Science in Psychology. Here, my study focus was on business psychology.
Approbation as psychotherapist
After completing my Master's degree, I was approved as a psychological psychotherapist with a specialisation in behavioural therapy.
Lecturer at the Universität Witten/Herdecke
As a lecturer at the Universität Witten/Herdecke I have been teaching team competence, communication and stress management since 2016.
